The XMAP extension for Phocagallery includes the category urls, but does not include the picture urls in the site map. This is because most of the options of PhocaGallery include some type of popup for the detail view. Hence, including the picture URLS would cause an error, or at the very least be redirected back to the category url. So you'd have a whole bunch of the same urls in your xmap sitemap.

If you want to include the picture urls in your sitemap, you should first set the detail view to 'no popup.' You'll find this option in the parameters in PhocaGallery.

Xmap for JoomGallery 1.5.6

xmap Updated JoomGallery to 1.5.6 and ran into trouble with the old urls, especially in the xmap sitemap - they all pointed to the gallery homepage as the new url structure is different. Couldn't find an update to the xmap for JoomGallery 1.5.6 so thought I'd post something here as a quick fixer.

The Problem: When a user uploads images in JoomGallery, there is a _1 in the title. For some reason, JoomGallery inserts it to distinguish a user uploaded image from an admin uploaded image. I presume there is some setting in the config panel to remove it, but me being me, I could'nt find it. So I did things the old fashioned way (and harder way). If somebody got an easier solution (or knows where the option is in the config panel) please leave a comment!

Embedded videos in Joomla articles not playing

I've long had a battle with videos in Joomla articles not playing. It originally began when the editor (e.g. TinyMCE) began stripping out the code for object or embed tags. But once that had been resolved, the videos would seem to load then display an error symbol - i.e they wouldn't play. I'm using Joomla 1.5.
